long time coming
yesterday one of my army friends got engaged. for me, it was the first time watching a friend exhanging vows at the ROM. it was quite momentous and the solemnisation itself was tense; even his wife broke down during her vows. touching affair. wonder if i'll ever get the chance to be the one in his shoes at the ROM. tsk..
here's wishing them a life of eternal bliss to andy and sharene. can't wait till the wedding dinner sometime :)

ahhh. work work work when will it ever end. i wish i could post more often about something else but it's just so depressing at this particular time of the year.
alright anyway i also watched 300 two saturdays ago, and i guess it was okay. didn't like it as much as a number of my friends did. granted, the images were all too prettily shot, but it was all about style over substance. and i can see why the iranians would be pissed at the portrayal of persians. rodrigo santoro alone is so unrecognisable as the bapok persian emperor xerxes. i mean, maybe there would have been less unrest and more clean fun if it had been shot like this:
also, in what is even older news (or is it news?), i finally had braces fitted on last month. talk about procrastination. it wasn't the best feeling in the first week but i'm glad i've done it and hopefully it's goodbye to awkward smiles on photographs in another 2 years or so. therefore, sorry peiqi, no pics of me with braces. i can leave you with this though:
finally, to the rest of the usual cs people:
i think i'm going with cr for division (what about you, clement? and the rest?) and unless there's some major screw-up (which i'm pretty used to in my 23 years of life by now), i'm going france for a month this summer for gss :)
