basic updates

well, nothing very eventful has been happening with me. it's been 4 weeks of school and i've been buried up to my nose in deadlines already. these couple of weeks is gonna be hell, so i probably won't been updating very much for a while.

in school, i've realised that:
- when inspiration doesn't come, it doesn't. my first assignment for the desktop publishing module turned out to look something like what a primary school kid might have done using print shop deluxe back in the 90s.
- languages are hard. now i remember why i started skipping 3rd lang classes after just 1 month, in sec1.
- taking the e-commerce module isn't such a great idea after all. imagine weekly presentations. and for this week i have to create an entire flash clip and my flash knowledge sucks.
- i'll be learning nothing for the biology in business module (nor do i really understand what is going on anyway).
- i'm still not sure of what to make of a module like visual communication.

man, am i glad that i'm taking only 5 subjects.

other random and completely incoherent musings:
- only been a month and i've already failed in all my new year resolutions heh.
- everybody hates singapore now. indonesia doesn't wanna sell sand, johor thinks we're causing their floods and thailand thinks we're eavesdropping on their phone lines. god knows what's going to happen at the thailand vs singapore football finals tomorrow.
- to go for summer studies or not? and where?
- pan's labyrinth is one of those one-of-its-kind movies. i probably wouldn't be too hasty to give it 5 stars, but i did like it and thought it was fantastically shot. and that was like the only movie i watched last month. here's everybody's favourite character to add some colour to this post:

damn there are so many movies i wanna watch in the theatres now (but will probably never get to watch).
