the mandatory end-of-2006 reflections post

from losing a planet close to our hearts to being time magazine's person of the year (i've a good mind to add that to my empty resume) ; from zidane's headbutt to saddam's hanging, 2006 has obviously had its fair share of happenings. but this being a shallow blog, i'm only gonna talk about shallow me.

in all honesty, 2006 hasn't been particularly remarkable for me. in fact it hasn't been all that smooth-sailing for me. chicken pox greeted me on new year's day and left some huge-ass scars on me. then there was a very bad scare in the family, which i'd rather not talk about. on the other hand, i've been doing resonably okay in school, so things aren't too shabby. still, i've already thought up some resolutions for the year and i'm optimistic about 2007.

a'ight, not gonna make this too long. yesterday was great hanging out with gerard, sofian, alvin for dinner at clarke quay and later drinks with andy. will post some pics again but internet speeds still don't seem to have completely reverted back to normal since the taiwan quake affected the underwater cables.

edit:
pics from the awesome night out. i'm not that much of a drinker but the house margaritas at cafe iguana are cheap (half price) and good during happy hours. later we just moved over to the usual hangout - paulaner's for more drinks with andy.
