rain rain rain. and rain. not good. clothes not drying. and last weekend was over before i could say "yeah it's the weekend!". er, and a not-so-introspective retrospective of the past few days.

just got my overseas leave approved today. i so damn need a holiday. off to genting next month! too bad it clashes with andy's birthday chalet and my dad can't take leave on other days. i highly suspect andy will strike me out of his memory as a friend forever.

have watched sky captain and the world of tomorrow with tam and alvin c! it's so retro-chic and a thoroughly enjoyable comic book adventure. think i pretty agree with wm about spending the first few minutes making sense of the surreal blurry special effects and then it's non-stop action till the end from there. plus there are many references to other films like the wizard of oz and lost horizon. too bad i'm not enough of a film geek to spot them all.

and it felt good recounting the old days at ri with morris and cheewei over dinner at billy bombers. to quote another friend - "the memories may slowly fade away but never completely disappear". true true. sometime i'm gonna have to dig out all the artefacts like those sec 2 class newsletters (if they still exist in my house) and comics and drown myself in nostalgia. lol.

one of the saddest news that happened last week must be the fact that come year-end, laws aren't going to let illegal downloaders of music, movies, etc get away scot-free. tsk. i'm too much of a pirate..how?!

methinks i am beginning to get sick of ktv after two consecutive sunday ktv sessions. urgh. need more exciting ways to spend my weekends. shut up the weekend's not here yet.

and i realise i personally do need to think things through and reflect on my ways and change my mentality about a lot of stuff. for one maybe blogging about more substantial stuff would be a start haha.
