yesterday was not bad. went to tam's house with a couple of my groupmates from my platoon. his house is really quite nice and homely. i declined mahjong and beer and basically just hanged around comfortably there. i lost all my coins playing blackjack. then andy fetched me to my grandma's house at hougang where i really rotted in absolute boredom. entertained myself by eating peanuts and losing more money gambling. told you i have no luck at the gambling table.
this morning it rained again. nice. i'm sorry i didn't go over to celebrate sel's birthday. instead first went ktv-cum-eat-in-lunch with morris, yau tung and zhengfeng and sang in the largest room i ever did. my limited vocal range meant i either sang myself hoarse or out of tune. still i enjoyed myself. hanged around ps where morris left to watch lost in translation. the rest of us chatted over drinks at the tiny cafe on the 2nd floor of cine overlooking the glass windows. don't know what it's called. yautung left. since there weren't suitable timings for any movies, me and zhengfeng had a fantastic yummy dinner at ichiban ramen-sushi restaurant at ps. anyway it's days like this you know who are the friends you really feel comfortable with.
i know, i was supposed to keep this short. well anyway i can't even say how horrible tomorrow is going to be. i have a dental appointment tomorrow morning and i don't know how to go to mindef gombak's dental centre. worse still i have to report to camp first to settle my off-pass. worse but not worst i have guard duty.
