a full week's worth of stage productions
am i glad or am i GLAD that paparazzi is over? haha. i'm downright happy the school production ended its 2-day run yesterday. it's been one week of tiring rehearsals, but then who am i to complain compared to the cast and some of the other crew who started rehearsing earlier?
anyway the experience's taught me a lot of things though. i've never actually had the experience of being in the control room, and it's shown me the tremendous amount of coordination required (cast, props, light & sounds, stage managers) during a show. having said that, i also found out i have no talent in controlling the sound system. i made mistakes both nights, but the second night could be considered a minor success since the screwups weren't obvious. heh. but thanks for coming, those who did and are reading this blog.
paparazzi aside, i caught forbidden city last week with yt and zf! actually it was my first time watching anything in the esplanade. the audience area is really much smaller than how the esplanade looks from the outside. probably because the stage is really deep. the sets were minimalistic but elegant and of cuz kit chan sings really well. the songs were typically dick-lee but to be quite honest they didn't really leave much of an impression. but it was an great night out anyway.
also caught mh's law school production by the year 4 law students with wm, ed and sel last sunday. at least i think their production were way more prepared than ours haha.
now that paparazzi is over, no more self-delusional excuse not to do any work. i so badly need to start meeting next week's deadlines and studying for midterms. i should just stop here for a start.
