finally got to watch brokeback mountain last night with gerard and alvin. practically my only entertainment of this screwed up week, besides juli's birthday at nydc last saturday. hah shan't complain any more. anyway i wouldn't be so quick to give it 4.5 stars as life! did. somewhat overated, yes. but it was beautifully shot and had its share of really poignant moments. for those who watched it, i thought scenes like when jack said "i wish i knew how to quit you" and the ending with both shirts tucked in each other literally spoke volumes. so it was a good watch still.

also it was my first time officially watching an r21 movie in a movie theatre and as a 21 year old (pirated vcds and internet not counted). but there's something bittersweet about that. cuz i've always wished i could break into a theatre somehow and watch one illegally while underaged. but never got round to doing it.

sounds damn stupid huh. haha.

but now, even though i have all the liberty to do so, that experience i could have had is now lost for good.
