if nothing else goes wrong, i clear leave in 3 weeks. damn it linus is disrupting on the same day as me and on top of his leave, he has an extra 14 days of off to clear.

anyway just a recap of the past week.

cleared my ippt and managed a silver. at least no need to worry about rt. and many thanks to my csm jack for motivating me from the side during the last leg of my 2.4km and even rsm who happened to be taking his ippt with me. they're definitely nice people despite the kind of appointments they hold.

was at zouk with alvin, gerard and sofian for the guinness comedy night last thursday night. kumar was a hoot as usual and worth the ticket price alone. just that i was terribly under-dressed (imagine nike tee and army brooks shoes) and out of place among the mainly working crowd. and guiness stout is for ah peks lah.

also collected my contact lenses. contacts are so troublesome to wear. and because i have slight astigmatism, the normal, cheaper ones i'm wearing aren't exactly giving me clear vision. so i don't know if i'm gonna continue after i'm done with these monthly disposable ones.

saturday was enjoyable. we celebrated alvin's and linus' belated birthday on saturday at east coast's pasta fresca. gotta love the atmosphere there. got to see some of the other oeti people i seldom see, like chee hwee and jimmy. just that we couldn't pronounce the italian dishes and couldn't recognise them when they were served. then ended up at changi village for a bit of drinks at this pub near the ferry terminal to pulau ubin. of course we could also see it was working hours for a certain group of people who are part of the unique changi v experience.
