yeah. it's nearing the end of the year once more and the x'mas lights are up at orchard. they have those christmas trees near cineleisure that sashay to christmas carols. cool.

today marks the start of the singapore buskers' festival! we unintentionally passed by one of the acts at orchard. it was some guy from australia called p.j. he was a juggler. and a pretty damn funny guy at that. we were glued as he juggled knives and axes and entertained with his whip. many others were too. kinda reminded me of another busker i saw back in australia several years back who juggled flame torches and he was good too.

just makes me wonder. how it'd feel to just throw down everything in life and just spend your life honing a craft, travelling and busking. how it'd feel to stand in the middle of a crowd and make everyone laugh at yourself. hmm.

singapore is just too small and most people are too risk-averse to ever hit the streets to busk and entertain for a living. it's even harder getting the rest to part with their dollar to support such acts. how can we ever have a vibrant busking culture?
