for once, it's not tgif

just finished the last of the dvds i rented. and i just had to blog about no man's land, a bosnian war-film that won the oscar for best foreign film in 2002. its premise is simple - a serb and a bosnian trapped in no man's land between the frontlines of their individual camps during the bosnian war try to escape. it's intelligently written; a powerful anti-war statement that's full of black humour and irony, with an ending as chilling as it is sad. one of the better films i've seen in a while. it's definitely worth a watch for those who haven't seen it (and who even reads this).

i also rented lost in translation, which wasn't too bad but i thought bill murray's acting was slightly overrated. nevertheless i'm beginning to think scarlett johansson is quite hot. especially since watching matchpoint a couple of weeks back, which i borrowed from mh. haha.

anyhow i had two buffet meals in one day. one was farewell lunch for edwin, which was at sakura's. and another was the quality hotel buffet dinner for my parents' wedding anniversary. i really do feel guilty about the eating part.

i wanna be watching more movies and eating gd stuff all day long! i can't believe school's gonna start soon!
