and I drone on
been a long hiatus from blogging. as usual i suppose this is gonna be a long lame post about trivial stuff as usual…read on if you wanna feel good about the fulfilling lives you’re leading, otherwise i’d suggest you hit the back button.
the single hardest question i can be asked right now would probably be so what have you been doing these hols. but shan’t be whining about the lack of an exciting life any more..else I’d sound like a hypocrite if i complain about intersem next month..heh.
well. actually i was supposed to go back to my hall and meet wk to return my keys yesterday, since I’d already vacated all my stuff over the weekend, but apparently he overslept. hah. guess when school starts, it’s time to get used to not being able to go back to hall for the quick naps during long breaks between lessons. not to mention the long journeys home as well (which I honestly don’t really mind). just not really actively involved in hall and don’t wanna bog my dad down with the accommodation fees anymore.
i’ve actually watched everything at the theatres that I basically wanted to in the past month. watched poseidon at the omnitheatre couple of weeks back and it wasn’t such a great choice. the average popcorn movies that aren’t made for imax should never be watched in that version. it was fun to visit that part of the science centre though. the pri school memories. da vinci code was way undeserving of the hype, or maybe the book spoilt it for me. objectively, over the hedge was probably the best of the lot..simple, clean fun..the company was great too since it was linus’ birthday. also had dinner at this amici restaurant:
even mi3 had some novel action sequences. but then i’ll always have a soft spot for the x-men, since they’re my favourite marvel comic characters. even though the scriptwriters decided to take things into their hands with the last stand and mangled the original storylines and even though there are way too many characters for proper character development at all and even though i think the spiderman movies are the best of all the marvel ones to hit the big screen, i’ll always enjoy watching the x-men. and i liked the parallels to reality, like how magneto’s televised appearance in the movie looked suspiciously like terrorist messages on al-jazeera, and the premise of how curing a mutant of its x-gene is no less ridiculous than curing a person of his/her race or sexual orientation.
movies apart (which i’m swearing off for the moment), i really should be more involved in organising meet-ups with all the friends i haven’t seen in ages. the sec school guys, the bmt and the rest of the army buddies , as well as more meetups with the sixoneders. having said that, i’m glad the science centre package got to meet up for dinner at seoul garden..even though it seems that the dinner didn’t go down well with everyone afterwards haha.
on the usual irrelevant note, I’m now hooked on lost as well, thanks to pia-ing the season 1 boxset with yk on mon again. only 5 more episodes to go plus the extras. and i want a holiday overseas too! till the next post..if i don’t shut down the blog on a whim.
