using wk's laptop now. my first entry from ntu hall as well. don't know why the connection so slow today..it's supposed to be fast. things will be easier when my own notebook arrives. placed an order for an ibm thinkpad t43, which really is a fugly slab of black. on the other hand the fujitsu lifebook s7021 is damn chio. but specs not as good. anyway just gonna be a short and very boring post, since yt has given me my first piece of written assignment. haha.

actually the notion of being a student is still surreal to me. last week wasn't a very happening first week. most of the time was spent getting lost in campus. but actually i realise ntu isn't as big as i thought. most places are still quite walkable to. even though my hall is really far from my school. also, there were only effectively 3 lectures, since there are no tutorials in week 1 and other lectures were cancelled due to the freshmen welcome talk and ntu flag day. leaving me with 2 free days. of course being the industrious me, i chose to go home/go out. i guess it was kind of lonely also during the days with lectures, cuz there were really few familiar faces and hardly anyone i personally knew. not to mention quite loserish cuz twice it was the girls beside me who initiated an introduction of themselves to me during the lectures. then again, it's like a 3 girls : 1 guy ratio here. somehow i'm quite content to be alone, maybe. yeah i know as usual i shouldn't be an antisocial freak. we'll see how things go when the tutorials start. heh.

well it's high time to wake up my ideas. have like 20 dollars worth of photostated readings waiting for me to read. i am not used to it not used to it not used to it....
