ever since i've been clearing leave, i've been morphing into a lifeless zombie. a typical morning is wasted in front of the pc and aimlessly surfing the net. my brain is operating on auto-pilot mode. that's not to say i'd rather be at work though. seriously i should go out more, since my resolve to curb spending is much too weak already anyway.

and cheewei, last saturday i was there too, at chijmes, to catch the live telecast of live 8. shall not go into too much detail, since it would sound like a total rehash of cw's post about stuff such as the gurkhas and the tight security around raffles city. except that no starhub crew approached us (damn!). we couldn't get seats downstairs around the china jump area either, so we went upstairs and managed to get seats after a long time. in the short time we were there, the more memorable artistes we caught were u2, bjork, coldplay + richard ashcroft, dido (sadly i could only sing along with coldlpay and dido), duran duran. the hyde park venue ran super-slogans like "now is the time, this is the year..' and 'one voice to make poverty history'. but i think we all know poverty isn't just going to end like that, even if the concert manages to work some wonders at the g8 summit. in the first place, i don't think half of singapore knows about what live 8 thing and those who know of it just treat it as a mega-concert treat. but still i guess a dose of good faith doesn't hurt?
