my first post finally. you don't wanna know how many times i tried to post this first post. well just a recap of the past few days.. beware. very long entry.

X'mas 2003

x'mas eve rocked. upon reaching camp in the morning, i was shocked to learn we would be released even earlier on top of the half day, plus no lessons. i always say, oeti never fails to surprise me every other day. then had lunch at holland v's swensens with the bunch of campmates i always hang out with. opted for the safe choice of fish n chips. after that we went walking around, looking at cute dogs and dvds. went home in the hope of catching some sleep, which sadly didn't happen once i turned my comp on.

in the evening, met up with my bmt platoon mates - zhonghui, aaron, gerald, winston. it was great seeing them after such a long long time. brought back so many nice memories, at least on my part. after all i spent 4 months seeing them practically every day on tekong. we chalked up a huge bill at sushi tei far east plaza. after which we made our arduous journey through the throngs of people towards cine while trying to avoid other crazy people spraying confetti/foam/whatever-else. trust me we hardly moved - the crowd was huge. on the way i exchanged greetings with a bimbo and her bimbo-er friends who apologised for pushing me from behind. hah. such is the crazy nature of x'mas. gerald couldn't stop teasing me for a while. ran into another bmt mate, my SIT test buddy, terence. we sat at the coffee bar outside cine, whatever it's called. i had cappucino. then they left to watch LOTR:ROTK, 2315pm show. i struggled back to lido for my main event of the day.

finally watched LOTR:ROTK 0030am at lido with familiar territory - ed, wm, wk. bought a fillet-o-fish to eat in the theatre. in the end i forgot to eat it. the show was fantastic as expected. never mind the draggy bits that were the ending, i loved every bit of it. i was wishing the show didn't end.. after all there's no more LOTR4 to look forward to anymore. took 162 night rider with ed and ended home 0430am. shagged. blur edwin left his equally uneaten mcpepper burger with me.

in case you're wondering what's with the italics - i'm a VERY poor man now. oh i forgot to mention i took a cab to camp in the morning due to some unforseen circumstances. so guys don't tempt me with movies/food/cds please. i owe people far too much. oh shucks tempt me all you want, you horrible friends. heh. 2003 is ending.

x'mas day itself sucked. don't wanna talk too much about it. the rain got me down. suffering from a lack-of-sleep hangover, i didn't go out with my jc friends for lunch. i half wished i joined them later on, but guess i needed to rest. not that i had a lot of it ultimately.

x'mas seems to get colder each year. at least for me.

Today

just came back from the pan pacific hotel outing. a bit uneventful for me since i was groggy from lack of sleep most of the time. didn't join in the banter for the larger part of the time. the rest of the time was spent frozen because of the aircon. had guard duty on friday (p.s. prowling is fun). the rest busied themselves with the ps2/cards/mahjong or gorging on junk food. brought my camera but too unmotivated to take pics, so i only took 1 shot where we had dinner on sat night (goshen, marina square). but still it was an outing i wouldn't have wanted to miss. it was still kinda fun.

i still need my sleep.
